My name is Leslie Aurelio. And I live in Los Angeles. This is a blog about free or almost free things to do in and around L.A. Because we are in a wonderful, blasted city that pays in experience and not in cash. That is me at The Getty. Actually, this is me in the staircase of the parking lot of The Getty. I’m trying very hard to look like a German Expressionist painting. The Getty is free. The parking lot is not. L.A. secret: There is a free parking lot with a free shuttle that will take you up to The Getty. The lot is next to the Jackie Robinson baseball field on Constitution just off of Sepulveda Blvd. It is only open on busy days like the weekends.

Fridays Off the 405 are at The Getty. We (as in the royal “we”) saw Free Blood play a couple months ago. They are rad. This video is rad. Notice my look of fear as crazy rock singer encroaches towards me.
